ECPL Podcast Room
When ECPL first approached us about setting up a Podcast room at the Center, we had already been working on web and print projects with them for years. Adding media recording capabilities would allow them to branch out to more focused podcasts to their YouTube, which had previously only been used for recording seminars. This new Podcast would offer audio, and eventually video, recording capabilities to their team and other early childhood professional development and support services at The Center.
Not too long ago, the technology needed for setting up a room like this would have taken a lot of (dedicated) power, additional staff, and large complex systems. As with all technology, the systems have shrunk wand with the rise in popularity of small self produced podcasts, companies have come up with streamlined, easy to use systems. The best, and most affordable on their NotForProfit budget, is the RodeCaster Pro (II) – shrinking multiple the large, power hungry devices into a single desktop device about the size of a laptop.
From spoken word to live music, and even the ability to record a (phone) caller, the ECPL Podcast room is another example of how we could offer an our client a simple, affordable and powerful solution to improve their content creation, while also being manageable and easy to use solution to make their already busy day easier. We are not only their web design team, but also their graphics and now audio/video behind the scenes team.
