Collaboration success – Women in Science

With faster internet connections than ever before, and the growing popularity of YouTube, Instagram and social media outlets, video is now king (of content).

The American Geophysical Union, celebrating 100 years since their founding in 1919 understands the importance of having online video.  Along with Producer Vicki Zwart, we consulted in the technical as well as the aesthetics of video production and editing for social media use.

Just like with any design, video editing is about combining visual patterns, rhythm, and layering – not to mention having the technical know how to use the powerful video editing tools available to us now.

Video is a combination of multiple elements mixed together: video of talent (actors), music, sounds, text and other graphic elements into a seamless story. The timing must be just right to make a video piece feel authentic.  If done well, the viewer shouldn’t even think about the editing elements, and should just pay attention to the content being delivered.

A successful collaboration between Vicki and our team ensured the skills and a final product that impressed this geographical science focused group who had an important story to tell and a milestone to celebrate!
