MiniFuse Beta Test
Digital music editing and producing has taken the world by storm. Especially in 2020 we saw a rise in home studio production by hobbyists, podcasters and professionals alike.
Getting live music, sounds, instruments and voice into the computer is among one of the most important tasks for the digital music artist. But how do you connect microphones into your home computer or tablet?
Answer: An audio digital interface (DI)
These ingenious devices are often USB powered and accept at least one audio channel in, using the brilliant space saving combo port that accepts 1/4″ or XLR. DIs can output to stereo speakers or headphones while simultaneously sending the same audio signal to the computer’s digital audio workstation (DAW). If you’re a Mac or iPhone user, you already have one of the best DAWs to begin – GarageBand.
DavidB was lucky enough to participate in another Beta test for renown music company – Arturia – out of France. With technology constantly changing, he was tasked with beta testing on MacOS, iPadOS, and iOS.
