Goodbye to IE11

It is time to say goodbye to Internet Explorer 11 support!

WordPress and Drupal are no longer going to support Internet Explorer 11.  Specifically in the upcoming 5.8 or 5.9 WP release (May 2021) and upcoming Drupal 10 release (June 2022)

Other groups like Microsoft 365 apps and Microsoft products have already stopped developing for IE11. StatCounter’s GlobalStats record IE11 having dipped below 1.0% for the first time in August 2020, and it has continued declining steadily since then.

If you, your team or your target audience rely on IE11, we recommend you encourage users of your sites to switch to a supported browser as soon as possible.
