Drupal 9 is here!
A new version of Drupal has launched – Drupal 9!
Drupal 8 will be end-of-life by November 2021. “We need to periodically remove deprecated functionality to keep Drupal modern, maintainable, and performant, and we need to stay on secure, supported versions of Drupal 8’s third-party dependencies.” The first release of Drupal 9 will be very similar to the last minor release of Drupal 8 (unlike going from 7 to 8), as the primary goal of the Drupal 9.0.0 release will be to remove deprecated code and update third-party dependencies. By keeping your Drupal 8 sites up to date with our monthly maintenance, you should be well prepared for Drupal 9.
Our team is currently doing off-site tests for Drupal 9 readiness. Roll out of Drupal 9 upgrades will be scheduled with each of our clients. If you have any questions, please let us know.
