TIME TO REFRESH?
If your site is 3 years old, it is definitely time for a refresh! Time to get some feedback! By asking your current users specific questions about how they use your website we can create a plan to help meet your goals based on actual user feedback, combined with website best practices.

Success story: A new Client came to us wanting to refresh their website, but didn’t have a specific wishlist. We surveyed 79 site users and were able to create an action list that fit the Client’s budget, timeframe and checked items off the user’s wishlist.

Remember – your site is for your users first and foremost (not you, sorry to say). Is it time to go outside of your team and ask users what they really want? If so, give us a call to help put a plan into motion with you.

OR TIME TO REMODEL?
Is your site 5 years old (or older?) It is definitely time to remodel. There have been too many changes in technology that your site might not be working well in current browsers and mobile. Remodeling an existing site needs to be approached in a similar way to the initial build out with solid pre-production meetings and research to make sure the next gen site meets the goals and can stand on its own for the next 3-5 years.

REMODEL CHECKLIST

  • Collect images
  • Collect or re-write content
  • Start a content outline (aka navigation)
  • Find 3 websites you love – why?
  • Find 3 websites you don’t like – why?
  • Who are your main 3 peers or competitors?
  • If your website was a movie, what would it be? Action? Drama? Period Piece? Documentary?
  • Define your website goals
  • Define your audience
  • Determine which social media networks you want to use (and refresh)
  • Collect username/passwords for social media, google accounts, hosting and domain name management
