Beloit College: Beyond Beloit

As a parent of someone in another city, it’s always helpful to have a resource for that city and this adds another dimension to the resources available. It also helps to acquaint you with the city and gives you ideas for restaurants, sightseeing, etc. when you visit. Since Abigail is spending her second year in Chicago (she spent her junior year there too) we feel much more comfortable knowing more about the city. —

Creating a city resource for college alumni.

Having graduated from Beloit college and wanting to help keep alumni in touch with each other, Your Plan B Co. was more than happy to create this intensive resource for alumni.

Using PHP and MySQL databases, we were able to allow users to update their site using a browser based admin.

This project is one more step towards meeting the larger goal of connecting recent graduates with alumni to facilitate networking and men- toring down the road. This online project marks a GIANT step towards meeting the larger goal of connecting recent graduates with alumni to facilitate networking and mentoring down the road. Cities are being added to the network, to foster growth and community among Beloit’s alumni.
