Confessions of a web designer

We thought it would be fun to share some of our team’s memorable moments over the past 20 years working with you.
Remember, memorable can be fantastic and it can be challenging.

#7   Early on we not only worked with clients on their sites, their branding, but also helped with basic computer skills.  One day we came in to a client’s office, they were very worried looking.  Escorted us to their computer to tell us there was a virus, but yet their virus software did not “see” it.  Turns out he clicked on something late at night and it downloaded a dancing girl (NSFW) that was very tough to remove.  We never mentioned it again.  But in our own office we did giggled about “clicking anything that moved”…

#8   Waaaay back in the early 90’s, we caught one of the secretaries in the office we were freelancing for using the CD drive as a coffee cup holder.  Really!  Her response was that it kept her from spilling coffee on her keyboard.  Can’t fault her practical-ness!

#9 Once we were asked to print a door sized poster from an 78dpi square image.  After much explaining that it wouldn’t work and showing examples of small images printed at large sizes, the client insisted we print it.  When it arrived, it looked like a cubist painting!

From each encounter we learn how to be better at what we do.  With each year, we learn how to be more flexible with technology.
