America Online, CompuServe and Prodigy were the “Big Three” dial-up ISPs (top speed: 9.6 kbps). Yahoo founded. The W3C organization was founded by Tim Berners-Lee. Iomega released its Zip disk drive and diskettes. Vice President Al Gore made a speech where he coined the term “Information Superhighway”.
DavidB and I were freelancers for video and film companies. Just started to dive into HTML and web design browsing through Mosaic (later Netscape). We won the 1994 Magellan Award for Ease of Navigation – Travel weekly for the IAM website. Worked with Devo member, Mark Mothersbaugh on his studio’s first website. JameyB created a companion site for Notre Dame Football CDRom and it made the cover of Screen magazine.
